A RESOLUTION
Commending Keaston White; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS, Keaston White is well known and highly respected as a distinguished student at Collins Hill High School where he earned his academic letter last fall; and
WHEREAS, this wonderful sophomore student tragically sustained a severe football accident last fall that left him a quadriplegic; and
WHEREAS, although Keaston White can no longer walk, he is an inspiration to his fellow students and their parents as he maintains a positive attitude about his life and continues to strive to attain his full potential; and
WHEREAS, on Saturday, May 3, 2003, a special charity run will be held at Collins Hill High School that is sponsored by The Dream Team students; and the proceeds from this event will be dedicated to assist Keaston White in seeking treatment by a spinal specialist; and
WHEREAS, the perseverance of this young student is an inspiration to us all and his remarkable focus and spirit serve as excellent models for others to follow.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend Keaston White on his outstanding accomplishments and terrific spirit and convey to him their admiration, respect, and best wishes for the future.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Keaston White.
