House Resolution
77 By: Representatives Purcell of the 122nd
and Oliver of the 121st, Post 2
A RESOLUTION
Commending Wynelle Purcell of Bryan County; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS, Wynelle Purcell served with
honor and distinction as a member of the Board of Education of Bryan County from
1996 through 2000; and
WHEREAS, she also previously
served in like manner as a principal in the Bryan County School District for 13
years, classroom teacher for over six years, and staff member at the central
office for seven years including service as special education coordinator,
visiting teacher, and Title I coordinator;
and
WHEREAS, she was honored by the Georgia Retired
Educators Association as its Leadership Award recipient in 2002;
and
WHEREAS, she rendered valuable public service
also through membership and leadership roles in the regional mental health
board, a state department of education committee to develop state tests, and
various civic and professional organizations;
and
WHEREAS, it is only fitting and proper that she
be recognized by this body.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend
Wynelle Purcell of Bryan County for her record of public service and her many
contributions to the welfare of her community and this
state.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the
House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate
copy of this resolution to Wynelle Purcell.
