A RESOLUTION
Commending Mark Clayton Armstrong of Clayton County; and for
other purposes.
WHEREAS, Mark Clayton Armstrong has served with honor and distinction as a member of the Board of Education of Clayton County since his election in 1992; and
WHEREAS, he has served four years as chairman of the board of education; and
WHEREAS, he has improved the lives of young people in his community not only through his service as a public official but also through devoting his time over many years to the coaching of youth baseball teams; and
WHEREAS, he is an alumnus of the University of Georgia, having graduated from that hallowed institution of higher learning in 1974; and
WHEREAS, he is a devoted husband to his lovely wife, Teresa; and
WHEREAS, it is only fitting and proper that he be recognized by this body.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Mark Clayton Armstrong of Clayton County for his record of public service and his many contributions to the welfare of his community and this state.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mark Clayton Armstrong.
