A RESOLUTION
Commending the United States military personnel from Hall
County who served in Iraq; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS, some of Hall County's finest
young men and women were called into military service by President Bush as he
ordered the use of force to liberate the people of Iraq on March 19, 2003;
and
WHEREAS, these patriotic men and women
responded bravely to the call to duty leaving their homes and loved ones to risk
their lives for our nation; and
WHEREAS, these
valiant military personnel suffered hardships and sacrifices on behalf of our
national honor as a leader in the free world and on behalf of the people of Iraq
struggling to be free of tyranny and injustice;
and
WHEREAS, it is most fitting and appropriate to
formally acknowledge the contributions and courage of these young soldiers and
to welcome them as they return to their homes and to their
communities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that this body hereby expresses its deep appreciation,
admiration, and gratitude to the United States military personnel from Hall
County who served in Iraq and welcome them home.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the governing
authority of Hall County.
