A RESOLUTION
Commending Angela Rice; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Angela Rice is widely recognized throughout the state as the personification of excellence in education; and
WHEREAS, this highly respected math teacher at Eagles Landing Christian Academy has served with honor and distinction as a professional educator in the Henry County school system for 18 years; and
WHEREAS, she believes that her role as a teacher is to act as an instrument of inspiration to her pupils and to create a positive learning environment to enhance her students´ abilities to analyze and reason; and
WHEREAS, she is a shining example of the important impact that the efforts of individual classroom teachers are making on the quality of education received by the children of this state; and
WHEREAS, in recognition of her outstanding dedication to academic excellence, she was selected as 2004 Eagles Landing Christian Academy STAR Teacher.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body heartily and gratefully commend Angela Rice for her sacrifice, foresight, accomplishment, and contributions on behalf of the young people of this state and congratulate her upon her selection as 2004 Eagles Landing Christian Academy STAR Teacher.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Angela Rice.
