A RESOLUTION
Congratulating Honorable Tommie Williams; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS, on Saint Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2004, Honorable Tommie Williams and Ms. Stephanie Durrence will be joined in marriage; and
WHEREAS, the undying friendship and unflagging respect that they have demonstrated to one another comprise the solid foundation upon which their holy union will be built; and
WHEREAS, their enduring love and affection for one another and the unyielding strength of their relationship with each other have been an unparalleled inspiration to the members of their family and their friends; and
WHEREAS, while their separate paths have crossed, some would say coincidentally, throughout the years, God, in His perfect timing, has chosen this as the moment for them to commit their lives to one another; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the loving devotion and lifelong commitment of these humble servants of our Lord be appropriately recognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body extend their warmest and most heartfelt congratulations to Honorable Tommie Williams and Ms. Stephanie Durrence on the joyous occasion of their wedding, commend them for their deep level of unselfish devotion to one another, and extend to them best wishes for a lifetime of continued health and happiness.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Honorable Tommie Williams and Ms. Stephanie Durrence.
