Senate Resolution
82 By: Senators Crotts of the 17th and Hudgens of the
47th
A RESOLUTION
Commending Jodi Lynn Dyer; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, a proper quality education for the young
people of this state is the single most important objective of the General
Assembly; and
WHEREAS, Jodi Lynn Dyer of Hartwell,
Georgia, has shown by the example of her academic accomplishments that the
pursuit and attainment of scholastic success is within the reach of the students
in this state; and
WHEREAS, this remarkable senior
scholar-athlete has earned distinction through her remarkable achievements as a
student at Hart County High School where she is a member of the track and
softball teams, a member of the National Honor Society, and listed in Who's Who
Among American High School Students; and
WHEREAS,
she has been selected as valedictorian of the 2003 class;
and
WHEREAS, she has personified the selfless
dedication, mental agility, verbal dexterity, and personal maturity necessary
for superlative academic performance; and
WHEREAS,
in a world which seems to accentuate consistently the negative aspects of young
people, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to honor the
extraordinary accomplishments, intellectual acumen, and unsurpassed commitment
to excellence of such an outstanding
individual.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
SENATE that the members of this body heartily commend Jodi Lynn Dyer for her
spectacular scholastic and athletic endeavors and express to her their sincerest
best wishes for continued success in the future.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Jodi Lynn Dyer.
