A RESOLUTION

Expressing regret at the loss of soldiers from Fort Stewart; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, 32 soldiers from Fort Stewart, Georgia, lost their lives in the war against Iraq while valiantly serving their country as members of the United States Army; and

WHEREAS, these courageous military personnel engaged in treacherous combat on behalf of our nation as it liberated the people of Iraq from ruthless tyranny and grave injustice; and

WHEREAS, the loss of their lives leaves an undeniable void in their families and proper remembrance is due the service and sacrifice of these veterans: CPT James F. Adamouski; CPT Tristan N. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that this body expresses deep regret at the loss of 32 soldiers from Fort Stewart who paid the ultimate sacrifice for their country and humbly salutes these valiant young warriors.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the U.S. Army Commander at Fort Stewart, Georgia.
