Senator Zamarripa of the 36th offered the following
amendment:
Amend SR 595 by striking the quotation marks at the end of line 19 of page 1 and by inserting immediately following such line the following:
"(c) Nothing in this Paragraph shall be construed so as to prohibit the governing authority of a political subdivision of the state from recognizing civil unions or domestic partnerships between persons of the same gender.'"
