A
RESOLUTION
Commending
Gary Farmer on his selection to the Georgia Agriculture Education Hall of Fame;
and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Gary Farmer has long been recognized for the vital role that he has played in
providing leadership and in serving the citizens of this state; and
WHEREAS,
he has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of his time,
talents, and energy toward the betterment of his community and state as
evidenced dramatically by his years of outstanding service in education, having
been a classroom teacher of agricultural education and presently serving as the
Regional Coordinator of Agricultural Education for North Georgia;
and
WHEREAS,
during his tenure as an classroom teacher, his FFA chapter at Banks County High
School received the Coveted FFA Gold Emblem Award, he was recognized as the
Banks County Teacher of the Year, and he was named Banks County High School STAR
Teacher twice; and
WHEREAS,
he has earned the Georgia Planter Degree and the American Honorary FFA Degree
and has received the Outstanding Service Award for Agriculture Education in the
Southern Region for NASAE and the 30 year award from the State Department of
Education; and
WHEREAS,
his significant organizational and leadership talents, his remarkable patience
and diplomacy, his keen sense of vision, and his sensitivities have earned him
the respect and admiration of his colleagues and associates; and
WHEREAS,
he is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this
remarkable and distinguished individual be appropriately
recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend Gary Farmer for his many years of efficient, effective,
unselfish, and dedicated service and extend to him their most sincere best
wishes for continued health and happiness.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Gary Farmer.
