RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Lynn Keith for outstanding contributions to public education in
the State of Georgia; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Lynn Keith has been a teacher for 13 years, teaching in an Interrelated Special
Education Classroom at Oak Vista Elementary for six years and most recently in a
Preschool Intervention Program classroom at T. G. Ritch Pre-K; and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Keith is truly a born educator who learned sign language in junior high so
she could communicate with her hearing-impaired peers and coached an athlete for
the Special Olympics while in high school; and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Keith's talent as a teacher is most evident in the fond regard of her fellow
teachers, superiors, parents, and especially her students; and
WHEREAS,
in recognition of her superior achievements and dedication, Ms. Keith has been
recognized as a Wayne County School Teacher of the Year for 2004-2005;
and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Keith stands as a shining example of the important impact that the efforts
of individual classroom teachers are making on the quality of education received
by the children of this state and it is abundantly fitting and proper that her
superlative accomplishments be recognized appropriately.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body heartily and gratefully commend Ms. Lynn Keith for her sacrifice,
foresight, accomplishment, and contributions on behalf of education in Georgia
and for the positive influence she has had upon the lives and futures of so many
young people in this state.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Ms. Lynn
Keith.
