RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Barbara Hires for outstanding contributions to public education
in the State of Georgia; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Barbara Hires has been a teacher for 34 years and teaches at Martha Pluckett
Middle School; and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Hires is truly a born educator who inspires her students with a love of
reading and shares with them the joy of learning to express their thoughts in
writing, both of which are essential to their future growth and success;
and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Hires's talent as a teacher is most evident in the fond regard of her fellow
teachers, superiors, parents, and especially her students; and
WHEREAS,
in recognition of her superior achievements and dedication, Ms. Hires has been
recognized as a Wayne County School Teacher of the Year for 2004-2005;
and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Hires stands as a shining example of the important impact that the efforts
of individual classroom teachers are making on the quality of education received
by the children of this state and it is abundantly fitting and proper that her
superlative accomplishments be recognized appropriately.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body heartily and gratefully commend Ms. Barbara Hires for her sacrifice,
foresight, accomplishment, and contributions on behalf of education in Georgia
and for the positive influence she has had upon the lives and futures of so many
young people in this state.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Ms. Barbara
Hires.
