RESOLUTION
Commending
Paul Edward Fox, Jr., on becoming an Eagle Scout; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
Paul Edward Fox, Jr., of Boy Scout Troop 202, Atlanta Area Council, has earned
the rank of Eagle Scout, which was awarded to him at an Eagle Court of Honor on
January 7, 2006; and
WHEREAS,
a candidate for this most exceptional award in scouting must earn 21 merit
badges, 12 of which are mandatory for the Eagle Scout program; and
WHEREAS,
only one scout out of 97 ever reaches this lofty level of achievement, and Paul
Edward Fox, Jr., has ably demonstrated his aptitude and competency in mastering
the many special skills taught through the Boy Scout program; and
WHEREAS,
this outstanding young man has truly exhibited a commitment to the scouting
principles of honesty and fairness and has consistently conducted himself in a
manner becoming of an Eagle Scout; and
WHEREAS,
in a world which all too often seems to dwell on the negative aspects of the
actions of young people, it is especially fitting and proper for this body to
recognize the outstanding accomplishments of this extraordinary young
man.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend Paul Edward Fox, Jr., for his diligence and dedication in
pursuing the highest honor awarded by the Boy Scouts of America and congratulate
him on attaining the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Paul Edward
Fox, Jr.
