RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Linda Lockley Kelly for outstanding contributions to public
education in the State of Georgia; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Linda Lockley Kelly has been a teacher for 29 years and currently teaches at
Wayne County High School; and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Kelly is truly a born educator who teachers her students to become
independent, lifelong learners by instilling in them that essential love of the
truth which extends the learning process beyond the classroom and into every
aspect of their growth and personal development; and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Kelly's talent as a teacher is most evident in the fond regard of her
fellow teachers, superiors, parents, and especially her students;
and
WHEREAS,
in recognition of her superior achievements and dedication, Mrs. Kelly has been
recognized as a Wayne County School Teacher of the Year for 2004-2005;
and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Kelly stands as a shining example of the important impact that the efforts
of individual classroom teachers are making on the quality of education received
by the children of this state and it is abundantly fitting and proper that her
superlative accomplishments be recognized appropriately.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body heartily and gratefully commend Mrs. Linda Lockley Kelly for her
sacrifice, foresight, accomplishment, and contributions on behalf of education
in Georgia and for the positive influence she has had upon the lives and futures
of so many young people in this state.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mrs. Linda
Lockley Kelly.
