RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Melissa Clifton Pinder for outstanding contributions to public
education in the State of Georgia; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Melissa Clifton Pinder has been a teacher for 23 years and, during that time,
has taught elementary and middle grades in Ware and Wayne Counties and also
taught missionary children in Ghana, West Africa, for two years;
and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Pinder is truly a born educator who instills in her students a love of
learning and inspires them to have a "winning" attitude, both of which are
essential to their future growth and success; and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Pinder's talent as a teacher is most evident in the fond regard of her
fellow teachers, superiors, parents, and especially her students;
and
WHEREAS,
in recognition of her superior achievements and dedication, Ms. Pinder has been
recognized as a Wayne County School Teacher of the Year for 2004-2005;
and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Pinder stands as a shining example of the important impact that the efforts
of individual classroom teachers are making on the quality of education received
by the children of this state and it is abundantly fitting and proper that her
superlative accomplishments be recognized appropriately.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body heartily and gratefully commend Ms. Melissa Clifton Pinder for her
sacrifice, foresight, accomplishment, and contributions on behalf of education
in Georgia and for the positive influence she has had upon the lives and futures
of so many young people in this state.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Ms. Melissa
Clifton Pinder.
