A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending Linda Gutzwiller for outstanding contributions to public education in the State of Georgia; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Linda Gutzwiller has been a teacher for 15 years who is a Reading Recovery teacher at Screven Elementary School; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Gutzwiller is truly a born educator who inspires an early love of reading in her students, which is essential to their future growth and success as a student; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Gutzwiller's talent as a teacher is most evident in the fond regard of her fellow teachers, superiors, parents, and especially her students; and

WHEREAS, in recognition of her superior achievements and dedication, Ms. Gutzwiller has been recognized as a Wayne County School Teacher of the Year for 2004-2005; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Gutzwiller stands as a shining example of the important impact that the efforts of individual classroom teachers are making on the quality of education received by the children of this state and it is abundantly fitting and proper that her superlative accomplishments be recognized appropriately.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body heartily and gratefully commend Ms. Linda Gutzwiller for her sacrifice, foresight, accomplishment, and contributions on behalf of education in Georgia and for the positive influence she has had upon the lives and futures of so many young people in this state.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Ms. Linda Gutzwiller.
