RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Gerald Moody, winner of the 2005 Rick Perkins Award for
Excellence in Technical Instruction, and inviting him to appear before the House
of Representatives; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Gerald Moody has been selected as the
statés
recipient of the 2005 Rick Perkins Award for Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Moody, a Computer Information Systems Instructor at Okefenokee Technical
College, has exemplified excellence in instructional knowledge and practices;
and
WHEREAS,
in recognition of such, Mr. Moody was selected from an elite group of technical
education instructors who have each demonstrated exceptional and innovative
teaching practices and leadership skills at their respective colleges;
and
WHEREAS,
through dedication and professionalism, Mr. Moody has brought honor to himself,
his family, his college, and the Georgia Department of Technical and Adult
Education, which he represents as
Georgiás
outstanding postsecondary technical instructor for 2005; and
WHEREAS,
as the 2005 Rick Perkins Award for Excellence in Technical Instruction
recipient, he is a spokesperson for technical education and makes public
appearances to promote
Georgiás
Technical College System.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body congratulate Gerald Moody for his outstanding achievements and convey
to him their sincere best wishes for success in his future endeavors and invite
him to appear before this body on a date and time designated by the Speaker of
the House of Representatives.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Gerald Moody.
