RESOLUTION
Congratulating
Ms. Nicole Hughes on being named as a Disney Teacher Award Nominee and
commending her on her contributions to education; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
Ms. Nicole Hughes, a first grade teacher at Chesney Elementary School,
exemplifies the passion for learning and selfless dedication to students that is
characteristic of our finest educators; and
WHEREAS,
her commitment to excellence and extraordinary teaching talent has earned her
the respect and admiration of students, colleagues, and parents, and she has now
been honored by being named as a 2006 Disney Teacher Award Nominee;
and
WHEREAS,
since 1989, Disney Teaching Awards have recognized educators whose methods
exemplify creativity in teaching and who inspire a joy of learning in their
students; and
WHEREAS,
in being nominated, Ms. Hughes joins an elite group of educators from across the
country who are recognized for innovative and inspiring teaching;
and
WHEREAS,
considering that nothing is more important to Georgia's future than the
education of its youth, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to
recognize the outstanding accomplishments of this remarkable
teacher.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body congratulate Ms. Nicole Hughes on being named as a Disney Teacher
Award Nominee and commend her for her many invaluable contributions to education
in Georgia.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Ms. Nicole
Hughes.
