RESOLUTION
Recognizing
the Gainesville High School Ladies Golf Team, winners of the 2004 Class AAA
State Golf Championship, and Lauren Darnell, winner of the 2004 Individual Class
AAA golf title; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
on Monday, May 10, 2004, at the Chattahoochee Golf Club, the Gainesville High
School Ladies Golf Team, with the support of their family, friends, and coach,
Manson Hill, clinched the 2004 Class AAA State Golf Championship with an
impressive team score of 166; and
WHEREAS,
Lauren Darnell secured her first Individual Class AAA golf title with a final
score of 71; and
WHEREAS,
these victories were the culmination of the season of hard work, exemplary
sportsmanship, and exceptional teamwork among this close-knit group of
outstanding young ladies; and
WHEREAS,
this secured Gainesville High School its second consecutive state golf
championship; and
WHEREAS,
these achievements attest that the Lady Red Elephants possess exceptional talent
and dedication to their team and their sport; and
WHEREAS,
the Gainesville community and the State of Georgia take great pride in the
accomplishments of these fine young champions.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that this body
recognizes and commends the 2004 Class AAA State Champion Gainesville High
School Ladies Golf Team and Coach Manson Hill for their outstanding
performance.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Coach Manson
Hill.
