RESOLUTION
Commending
Kristie Champlin on her selection as the STAR student for Jefferson High School;
and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most
important objective of the General Assembly; and
WHEREAS,
the incredible scholastic success of Kristie Champlin is a shining example for
all students in Georgia who strive for academic excellence; and
WHEREAS,
this remarkable scholar has earned distinction through her achievements as a
student at Jefferson High School, where she has been a cheerleader and track
athlete and a member of Future Business Leaders of America, the Spanish Club,
and the Beta Club, and president of Student Council; she was also named Miss
Jefferson High School, Best All-Around, and a member of the Homecoming Court;
and
WHEREAS,
ranked first in her class, her hard work and determination have earned her
numerous accolades during the course of her scholastic career, and she has now
been honored by being named as her high school's STAR student; and
WHEREAS,
Kristie Champlin has personified the selfless dedication, mental agility, verbal
adroitness, and personal maturity necessary for superlative academic
performance; and
WHEREAS,
in a world which seems to accentuate consistently the negative aspects of young
people, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to honor the
extraordinary accomplishments, intellectual acumen, and unsurpassed commitment
to excellence of such an outstanding individual.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body heartily commend Kristie Champlin for her spectacular scholastic
endeavors, including her selection as the STAR student for Jefferson High
School, and express to her their sincerest best wishes for continued academic
success in the future.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Kristie
Champlin.
