RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Coach Barbara Saunders for her outstanding contribution to
education; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Coach Barbara Saunders coaches the East Hall High School Girls Tennis Team;
and
WHEREAS,
Coach Saunders led the Vikings to a third place finish in the highly contested
regional tournament and to their first appearance in the Class AAA state
playoffs in school history; and
WHEREAS,
Coach Saunders is an educator of great ability and talent who fosters integrity,
self-confidence, sportsmanship, and teamwork among her student athletes;
and
WHEREAS,
as a result of these many contributions and achievements, Coach Saunders was
named The
Times' 2004 Girls Tennis Coach of the
Year; and
WHEREAS,
Coach Saunders's exemplary leadership and dedication to the education and
development of these young athletes merits the highest
commendation.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body join in recognizing and commending Coach Barbara Saunders for her hard
work and commitment to the students of East Hall High School and its girls
tennis team.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Coach Barbara
Saunders.
