RESOLUTION
Remembering
and honoring the life of Ed Nix; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Mr. Ed Nix was a lifelong resident of Hall County and a graduate of Gainesville
High School and Georgia Southern University who served his country honorably in
the U.S. Army from 1970 to 1976; and
WHEREAS,
he was a member of First United Methodist Church of Oakwood and a talented sales
representative for the Fulton Paper Company; and
WHEREAS,
he was a faithful and loving husband to his wife of 34 years, Mrs. Martha
McClure Nix, and a beloved son, father, and grandfather; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Nix was an avid outdoorsman who loved to spend time canoeing and hiking with
his friends and family; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Nix leaves behind a wealth of loving friends and family who will remember
him for his kindness, strength of character, and adventurous spirit;
and
WHEREAS,
the State of Georgia lost a most estimable citizen on Wednesday, June 30, 2004,
with the passing of Mr. Ed Nix.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body join together to express their deepest regret at the passing of Mr. Ed
Nix and extend their most sincere condolences to his family.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the family of
Mr. Ed Nix.
