RESOLUTION
Remembering
and honoring the life of Nolie Joiner Smith; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Nolie Joiner Smith was born in Tennille, Georgia, to loving parents W. C.
and Amanda Wommack Joiner; and
WHEREAS,
she spent most of her life in Gainesville, Georgia, where she was a member of
the Gateway Garden Club, the Fine Arts Study Club, and the Flower Guild of the
Gainesville First United Methodist Church; and
WHEREAS,
she was a devoted homemaker and a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and
great-grandmother who will be remembered for her kindness, grace, and dedication
to her family and community; and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Smith leaves behind a wealth of loving friends and family, a testament to
her caring nature and great character; and
WHEREAS,
the State of Georgia lost a most estimable citizen with the passing of Mrs.
Nolie Joiner Smith.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body join together to express their deepest regret at the passing of Mrs.
Nolie Joiner Smith and extend their most sincere condolences to her
family.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the family of
Mrs. Nolie Joiner Smith.
