RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending the late Donald P. Lester and his sons, Jack and Keith Lester, of
Lester's Body & Paint Shop; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
in July of 1954, Mr. Donald P. "Red" Lester, a highly respected Hall County
businessman, founded Lester's Body & Paint Shop; and
WHEREAS,
following his motto that "Good work is not cheap, and cheap work is not good,"
he grew the one-man paint and body shop into a thriving business with 21
dedicated employees and a reputation for quality work and exceptional customer
service; and
WHEREAS,
50 years after Donald Lester founded the business, his two sons, Jack and Keith
Lester, continue their father's proud tradition of excellence; and
WHEREAS,
this business's success and longevity can be attributed to a loyal employee and
customer base who cite not only the quality of the workmanship but also the
character of these two brothers as the sources of their faithfulness;
and
WHEREAS,
Lester's Body & Paint Shop is a pillar within the Gainesville community,
meriting recognition for their fair business practices, high ethical standards,
and five decades of hard work and excellent service.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body join in recognizing and commending the late Donald P. "Red" Lester,
his sons, Jack and Keith Lester, and their fine family business, Lester's Body
& Paint Shop in Gainesville, Georgia.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. Jack
Lester and Mr. Keith Lester.
