A
RESOLUTION
Commending
and recognizing Veronica Kinard on earning the Girl Scouts of America Gold
Award; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Veronica Kinard has been awarded the Gold Award, the highest and most
distinguished award conferred by the Girl Scouts of America; and
WHEREAS,
only one scout out of 150 ever reaches this lofty level of achievement, and Miss
Kinard has ably demonstrated her leadership abilities obtained through the Girl
Scout program; and
WHEREAS,
this outstanding young leader has truly demonstrated a commitment to the
scouting principles of honesty and fairness and has consistently conducted
herself in a manner befitting the Gold Award; and
WHEREAS,
in a world which seems to accentuate the negative aspects of the actions of
young people, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to recognize
with particularity the outstanding accomplishments of this extraordinary
individual.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend and recognize Veronica Kinard on earning the Girl Scouts of
America Gold Award.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Veronica
Kinard.
