RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Meredith White, Junior Miss Atlanta Christian, and inviting her
to appear before the House of Representatives; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
on March 13, 2004, before an audience of nearly 300, Meredith White was crowned
Junior Miss Atlanta Christian in the second annual Miss Atlanta Christian
Pageant; and
WHEREAS,
this unique pageant system was designed to provide a forum for Christian girls
to express their faith publicly, build confidence, and experience a fun and
exciting event that celebrates their inner beauty; and
WHEREAS,
the Miss Atlanta Christian queens represent the Christian community through
various functions and events and participate in many community service projects
during their reign; and
WHEREAS,
in carrying out these duties, Miss White has displayed exceptional dedication,
grace, compassion, and commitment to improving the lives of her fellow
citizens.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body join in recognizing Miss Meredith White and commend her for her
outstanding service to her community and the State of Georgia as Junior Miss
Atlanta Christian.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Miss Meredith White is invited to appear before the
House of Representatives for purposes of being recognized by the House and
receiving an appropriate copy of this resolution at a date and time to be fixed
by the Speaker of the House.
