A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending the extraordinary career of Margie Fitzpatrick on the occasion of her retirement; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Ms. Fitzpatrick has been devoted to her work with the mentally and physically disabled in her community for more than a quarter century; and

WHEREAS, in the course of her career with Advantage Behavioral Health Systems, also known as Fine Finish, she helped to develop the community employment program, which provides training and transportation to jobs that allow her clients to earn their own money and, consequently, greatly increase their self-confidence; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Fitzpatrick has been an ardent advocate for the handicapped who takes pride in their accomplishments and whose enthusiasm for her job has bettered the lives of so many of her clients and increased awareness within her community of their individual abilities and talents; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Fitzpatrick is highly esteemed by her colleagues for her commitment and her expertise; and

WHEREAS, the State of Georgia is honored to have such a fine lady as one of its citizens.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body join in recognizing and commending Ms. Margie Fitzpatrick for her outstanding career and extend their sincere congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of her retirement.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Margie Fitzpatrick.
