RESOLUTION
Commending
the Gilmer High School Wrestling Team for winning the Georgia High School
Association Class AAA Team Duals Wrestling Championship; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
the Gilmer High School Bobcat Wrestling team returned victorious from the
2004-2005 Georgia High School Association Class AAA Team Duals State Wrestling
Championship held at the Centreplex in Macon, Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
this is the first state athletic championship in the history of Gilmer High
School; and
WHEREAS,
this outstanding team compiled a season record of 41-3; and
WHEREAS,
the team was led by the outstanding team coaches, Coach Sam Snider and Coach
David Henson; and
WHEREAS,
the 2004-2005 Gilmer High School Wrestling Team proved to be a team of destiny
and exhibited great heart and determination; and
WHEREAS,
this talented and well-coached team, known as the "Mat Cats," displayed the
qualities of hard work, discipline, and a commitment to excellence;
and
WHEREAS,
the members of the 2004-2005 Gilmer High School Wrestling Team are seniors
Joshua Hensley, Tony Keener, Jake Mize, Nate Mosley, Ryan Nealey, Joey Robinson,
Erik Trujillo, and Andres Alba; juniors David Jones, Reece Layman, Austin
Powell, and Kyle Trujillo; sophomores Ricky Blankenship, Matt Bollinger, Thomas
Bond, Joey Lillard, Phillip MacArthur, David Riddle, Joshua Snider, and Dale
Becker; and freshmen Landon Bramlett, Evan Chumler, Jeremy Combs, Michael Fox,
Jordan Grizzle, Ethan Gudger, Lewis Hensley, Jarred Isley, E.J. Jackson, Matt
Knapp, Michael Mooney, Luke Mosley, Jordan Rubin, Reece Sanford, Lamar Sherbert,
and David Snider.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body join in commending the members of the Gilmer High School Bobcat Wrestling Team, winners of the Georgia High School Association Class AAA Team Duals Wrestling Championship, for their outstanding performance during this exciting and memorable season.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body join in commending the members of the Gilmer High School Bobcat Wrestling Team, winners of the Georgia High School Association Class AAA Team Duals Wrestling Championship, for their outstanding performance during this exciting and memorable season.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the Gilmer
High School Wrestling Team.
