A
RESOLUTION
Remembering
and honoring the life of Charles Lamar Kay; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Mr. Charles Lamar Kay was born to George H. Kay and Annie Ruth Craft Kay on
January 28, 1938, in Hart County, Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Lamar Kay served his country honorably as a member of the United States Air
Force and had a distinguished career with the Bellcraft/Hartwell Company from
which he retired after 30 years as a supervisor; and
WHEREAS,
he was a highly respected member of the Sardis Baptist Church and Raymond Wilson
Sunday School Class who worked with the church's youth and served as a deacon
and former Sunday School Superintendent and teacher; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Kay leaves behind his loving and devoted family, including his wife, Lanelle
Adams Kay; his sons and daughter-in-law, Chuck Kay and Greg and Beth Kay; his
grandchild, Laura Beth Kay; and his brother and sister, George Owen Kay and
Frances Cheek; and
WHEREAS,
the State of Georgia lost a most estimable citizen on September 24, 2004, with
the passing of Mr. Charles Lamar Kay.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body join together to express their deepest regret at the passing of Mr.
Charles Lamar Kay and extend their most sincere condolences to his
family.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mrs. Lanelle
Adams Kay.
