RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Kristan Glover for her outstanding athletic performance, and
inviting her to appear before the House of Representatives; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
Miss Kristan Glover is the pitcher for the 2004 Greenbrier High School Softball
Team, winners of the Class AAAA State Championship; and
WHEREAS,
Miss Glover is an extremely talented young woman who already has many
exceptional achievements to her name, including career stats of 104 wins, 20
losses, 102 complete games, 1,042 strikeouts, and a 0.574 earned run average;
and
WHEREAS,
she has been named Region Player of the Year for the second consecutive year and
Region Pitcher of the Year for the fourth consecutive year; and
WHEREAS,
she is also the 2004 Class AAAA Pitcher of the Year and has the distinction of
being only the fourth high school pitcher nationally to reach 100 wins and 1,000
strikeouts in a four-year career; and
WHEREAS,
her accomplishments are the result of many seasons of hard work, exemplary
sportsmanship, and exceptional dedication to her sport and her team;
and
WHEREAS,
Miss Glover has set a laudable example for young athletes throughout the State
of Georgia.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body join in recognizing and commending this outstanding young athlete,
Miss Kristan Glover, and extend to her their best wishes for her very promising
future.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Miss Kristan Glover is invited to appear before the
House of Representatives for purposes of being recognized by the House and
receiving an appropriate copy of this resolution at a date and time to be fixed
by the Speaker of the House.
