A RESOLUTION

Commending Youth Leadership Henry for its outstanding contributions to the community and inviting its members to appear before the House of Representatives; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Youth Leadership Henry is a countywide program that develops leadership skills among outstanding high school sophomores and, through interaction with local leaders and decision makers, acquaints participants with community needs, problems, and resources; and

WHEREAS, selection for Youth Leadership Henry is a recognition of demonstrated and potential leadership, commitment to the Henry County community, and academic achievement; and

WHEREAS, this organization consists of many meritorious students from Henry County, including Sarah Belcher, Matt Berry, Jonathan Bryant, Chelsea Burns, Gabby Caputa, Melanie Cheatham, Catherine Cox, Courtney Cox, Nicole Craine, Ryan Davis, Candace Edwards, Amina Faroog, Rae Fraser, Andrew Garritson, Alex Gregor, Brooke Guy, Tiffany Hsia, Brittany Hughes, Kyle Jackson, April Knight, Bianca Laster, Allison North, Chase Pence, Ashley Phillips, Alexandria Price, Parker Propst, Allen Ransom, Nigi Roberts, Allison Roper, Nishant Sharma, Chris Shultz, Domenic Spencer, Ginny Tucker, Daphne Vincent, Holly Von Lanken, Nicole Watkins, Chelsea Wells, Caroline Wicker, Jessi Wilson, Charles Woodall, and Monique Yorke; and

WHEREAS, through their guidance and hard work, the members of the Youth Leadership Henry Board of Directors are helping to cultivate the future leaders of Henry County and of the State of Georgia; and

WHEREAS, these dedicated members include Don Ash, April Avison, Rodney Bowler, David Buckner, Brad Crawford, Bruce Dickerson, Debbie Gilmore, Randy Greene, Lanelle Henderson, John Hitchcock, Vickie J. Loper, Denese Rodgers, Mary Beth Etheridge, Vickie Floyd, and Joyce Rodgers.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body wholeheartedly commend the Board of Directors of Youth Leadership Henry and its student participants for their exemplary achievements and look forward to watching as these individuals lead Henry County and this state to a brighter and better tomorrow.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the student members and the Board of Directors of Youth Leadership Henry are invited to the House of Representatives for purposes of being recognized by the House and receiving an appropriate copy of this resolution at a date and time to be fixed by the Speaker of the House.
