RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Mrs. Rozine Britt-Bickel for her outstanding contribution to
education; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
receiving her bachelor's degree from Tift College in 1974 and her master's
degree from Mercer University in 1978, Mrs. Britt-Bickel dedicated her career
to the betterment of Georgia's children; and
WHEREAS,
in her 30 years as a highly respected teacher in the Crawford County School
System, Mrs. Britt-Bickel was esteemed for her exceptional talent and leadership
as Fourth Grade Lead Teacher; and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Britt-Bickel, who was instrumental in obtaining and implementing computer
technology in the classrooms of Crawford County Elementary, has made a lasting
contribution to its students by increasing their computer literacy, a highly
demanded modern skill; and
WHEREAS,
she has also demonstrated her exemplary initiative as Reading Specialist,
obtaining, implementing, and maintaining reading materials in support of various
special grants awarded through state and federal programs; and
WHEREAS,
in her untiring dedication to her profession, Mrs. Britt-Bickel provides
guidance and insight to new teachers within the school system and continues to
provide assistance to her former colleagues and superiors; and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Britt-Bickel's talent as a teacher is most evident in the fond regard of
her fellow teachers, superiors, parents, and especially her
students.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body join in recognizing and commending Mrs. Rozine Britt-Bickel for her
enthusiasm and drive in the service of education, her years of persistent hard
work, and her untiring dedication to Georgia's youth.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mrs. Rozine
Britt-Bickel.
