RESOLUTION
Commending
Mountain Park Elementary School on receiving a Single Statewide Accountability
System Platinum Award from the
Governoŕs
Office of Student Achievement; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
on October 25, 2005, Mountain Park Elementary School in Fulton County received a
Single Statewide Accountability System (SSAS) Platinum Award from the
Governoŕs
Office of Student Achievement in recognition of the
schooĺs
superlative performance; and
WHEREAS,
the
Governoŕs
Office of Student Achievement, in collaboration with the
Governoŕs
Office and the Georgia Department of Education, honored Mountain Park Elementary
School for meeting and exceeding the rigorous academic standards of SSAS;
and
WHEREAS,
Mountain Park Elementary School has continuously proven itself to be one of
Georgiás
finest learning institutions thanks to the hard work and determination of its
students, teachers, administrators, and families; and
WHEREAS,
nothing is more important to the members of the General Assembly than the
education of
Georgiás
children, and it is abundantly fitting and proper that this body appropriately
recognize the outstanding success of this extraordinary school.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body join in commending Mountain Park Elementary School on receiving a
Single Statewide Accountability System Platinum Award from the
Governoŕs
Office of Student Achievement and congratulate the school on its impressive
accomplishments.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Randall
Brannon, principal of Mountain Park Elementary School.
