RESOLUTION
Commending
Honorable Hinson Mosley; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
since 1992, Honorable Hinson Mosley has been one of the most distinguished
members of the House of Representatives, faithfully serving the citizens of
House District 178 with vision and determination; and
WHEREAS,
a resident of Jesup, Georgia, Representative Mosley enjoys a stellar reputation
as one of the strongest leaders for rural Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
Representative Mosley currently serves as a member of the House Appropriations
Committee, the House Game, Fish, and Parks Committee (for which he previously
served as chairman), and the House State Planning and Community Affairs
Committee, and as Vice Chairman of the Transportation Committee;
and
WHEREAS,
Representative Mosley's many notable accomplishments during the course of his
legislative career include authoring the Day of the Woman resolution, the only
resolution to hang in the Capitol; and
WHEREAS,
among his colleagues in the House of Representatives, he is known for his warm
and friendly nature and his chinaberry smoked steaks; and
WHEREAS,
a retired instrument technician and a devoted family man, Representative Mosley
and his wife, Linda, are the loving parents of four children, Kim, George,
Sharon, and Darrell, and are the proud grandparents of five grandchildren;
and
WHEREAS,
after seven memorable terms, Representative Mosley has decided to retire from
his service in the House of Representatives, and he will be sorely missed by all
his many friends and fellow lawmakers under the Gold Dome.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body join to commend Honorable Hinson Mosley on his exemplary service to
the people of Georgia as a member of the House of Representatives and to express
their best wishes for the greatest happiness and fulfillment in all his future
endeavors.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Honorable
Hinson Mosley.
