RESOLUTION
Commending
Ms. Evangela Dawsey Jones, the Dougherty County Teacher of the Year; and for
other purposes.
WHEREAS,
nothing is more important to the members of the General Assembly than the
education of our state's young people; and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Evangela Dawsey Jones of International Studies Elementary Magnet School is a
highly praised educator in the Dougherty County School System, where she
tirelessly directs her time and talent toward guiding her pupils to a brighter
future; and
WHEREAS,
the Teacher of the Year awards are a way for school districts to highlight the
contributions of exceptional educators such as Ms. Jones, who has received
numerous accolades during her exemplary career; and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Jones's teaching talent and commitment to education have earned her the
respect of students, parents, and colleagues, and for her laudable work she has
been honored as the Dougherty County Teacher of the Year; and
WHEREAS,
no one could be more worthy of this prestigious award than this outstanding
teacher, and it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to pay tribute to
the extraordinary accomplishments of one Georgia's finest education
professionals.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body join to commend Ms. Evangela Dawsey Jones for being selected as the
Dougherty County Teacher of the Year and to thank her for her many invaluable
contributions to education in Georgia.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Ms. Evangela
Dawsey Jones.
