RESOLUTION
Commending
Charles Battles; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Charles Battles is widely recognized throughout the state as the personification
of excellence in education; and
WHEREAS,
this highly respected teacher in the Clayton County school system has served
with honor and distinction as a professional educator at Mt. Zion High School;
and
WHEREAS,
he believes that his role as a teacher is to act as an instrument of inspiration
and enthusiasm to his pupils and to create a positive learning environment
through the encouragement of competitive instincts in his students;
and
WHEREAS,
in recognition of his outstanding dedication to academic achievement, he has
been named Mt. Zion High School STAR Teacher; and
WHEREAS,
he is a shining example of the important impact that the efforts of individual
classroom teachers are making on the quality of education received by the
children of this state and it is abundantly fitting and proper that his
superlative accomplishments be recognized appropriately.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body heartily and gratefully commend Charles Battles for his sacrifice,
foresight, accomplishment, and contributions on behalf of education in Georgia
and for the positive influence he has had upon the lives and futures of so many
young people in this state and congratulate him upon him being named Mt. Zion
High School STAR Teacher.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Charles
Battles.
