RESOLUTION
Commending
Dawn Odum; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Dawn Odum has long been recognized by the citizens of Woodstock, Towne Lake, and
Cherokee County for the vital role that she has played in leadership and her
deep personal commitment to the welfare of the citizens of Georgia;
and
WHEREAS,
she has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of her time,
talents, and energy toward the betterment of her community and state as
evidenced dramatically by her many years of superlative service as a member of
the board of the Cherokee County Library, a member of the Friends of Cherokee
County Public Libraries, and organizer of Children's Holiday Crafts;
and
WHEREAS,
her significant organizational and leadership talents, her remarkable patience
and diplomacy, her keen sense of vision, and her sensitivity to the needs of the
citizens of her community have earned her the respect and admiration of her
colleagues and associates; and
WHEREAS,
she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and
WHEREAS,
she has been selected by the Rotary Club of Canton to receive the Lamar Haley
Community Service Award, and it is abundantly fitting and proper that the
outstanding accomplishments of this remarkable and distinguished Georgian be
appropriately recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend Dawn Odum for her many years of efficient, effective,
unselfish, and dedicated public service; congratulate her upon receiving the
Lamar Haley Community Service Award; and extend to her their most sincere best
wishes for continued health and happiness.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House is authorized and directed to
transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Dawn Odum.
