House Resolution 53

A RESOLUTION

Commending Chris Yearwood; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Chris Yearwood has long been recognized by the citizens of Toccoa and Stephens County for the vital role that he has played in community leadership and his deep personal commitment to agricultural education; and

WHEREAS, he has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of his time, talents, and energy toward the breeding, training, and showing of squirrel dogs and has developed a national reputation for the top quality of his dogs; and

WHEREAS, he is a graduate of Stephens County High School where he was an active member of Future Farmers of America, and is currently enrolled at Gainesville College where he is continuing to participate in that renowned agricultural organization through a Supervised Agricultural Experience; and

WHEREAS, his significant organizational and leadership talents, his remarkable patience and diplomacy, his keen sense of vision, and his sensitivity to the needs of the citizens of his community have earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and associates; and

WHEREAS, he is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and

WHEREAS, he was selected by the Future Farmers of America as winner of the 2004 National Small Animal Production and Care Entrepreneurship Proficiency Award, and it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Chris Yearwood for his many years of efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated service on behalf of the advancement of agriculture; congratulate him upon receiving the 2004 National Small Animal Production and Care Entrepreneurship Proficiency Award; and extend to him the most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Chris Yearwood.
