RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Ellen Flynn for outstanding contributions to public education in
the State of Georgia; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Ellen Flynn is a highly respected educator in the Jackson County School System
where she has taught since 1998; and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Flynn's talent as a teacher is most evident in the fond regard of her
fellow teachers, superiors, parents, and especially her students;
and
WHEREAS,
the contributions and achievements of Mrs. Flynn have been recognized by her
selection as Teacher of the Year for South Jackson Elementary School as well as
the Jackson County School System; and
WHEREAS,
nothing is more vital to the future of our state than the education of our young
people, and Mrs. Flynn exemplifies the selfless dedication which is
characteristic of our finest educators; and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Flynn stands as a shining example of the important impact that the efforts
of individual classroom teachers are making on the quality of education received
by the children of this state, and it is abundantly fitting and proper that her
superlative accomplishments be recognized appropriately.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body hereby recognize and commend Mrs. Ellen Flynn; extend their
congratulations upon her selection as a 2005 Teacher of the Year; and express
their gratitude for the great credit this outstanding educator reflects upon her
school and school system and the State of Georgia.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mrs. Ellen
Flynn.
