RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending the extraordinary career of George Emory Reagan on the occasion
of his retirement; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Mr. Reagan has been a loyal employee of Delta Airlines for over 26 years;
and
WHEREAS,
in the course of his career at Delta Airlines, he has worked in many capacities,
including as a mechanic, analyst, and coordinator, and is retiring as General
Manager of Wide Body Aircraft at the Technical Management Center;
and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Reagan is highly esteemed by his colleagues for his commitment and his
expertise; and
WHEREAS,
in a manner characteristic with his sincere and unostentatious character, Mr.
Reagan has selflessly driven the same truck without air-conditioning for over 16
years in his daily 30 mile commute; and
WHEREAS,
the State of Georgia is honored to have such a loyal and dedicated man as one of
its citizens.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE STATE SENATE that the members of this body join
in recognizing and commending Mr. George Emory Reagan for his outstanding career
and extend their sincere congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of his
retirement.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to George Emory Reagan.
