RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Kings Chapel Elementary School on its designation as a 2005
Georgia School of Excellence in Student Achievement; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
Kings Chapel Elementary School has been selected as a 2005 Georgia School of
Excellence in Student Achievement by the Department of Education;
and
WHEREAS,
Kings Chapel Elementary School stands as one of only 20 schools in the state to
receive this prestigious honor; and
WHEREAS,
selections were based on each school´s organization and culture;
challenging standards and curriculum; active teaching and learning; professional
community; student focus and support; leadership and educational vitality; and
school, family, and community partnerships; and
WHEREAS,
this superlative elementary school has maintained a proud tradition of
excellence in education through the outstanding efforts of the dedicated and
hard working administration, faculty, and staff, and the bright, focused, and
determined students; and
WHEREAS,
by its example, Kings Chapel Elementary School has set a standard of achievement
and a model of excellence and success for other schools to emulate.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize
Kings Chapel Elementary School on its selection as a 2005 Georgia School of
Excellence in Student Achievement and commend its outstanding dedication and
commitment to excellence in education.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Kings Chapel Elementary
School and its principal, Paulette Tompkins.
