RESOLUTION
Commending
the founding and achievements of the Stockbridge-Jonesboro Alumni Chapter of
Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
the fundamental purpose of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., is achievement in
every field of human endeavor; and
WHEREAS,
the Stockbridge-Jonesboro Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.,
was chartered on Friday, February 14, 2003; and
WHEREAS,
this Chapter came into existence as a result of the vision and foresight of ten
industrious gentlemen: Jeffrey D. Dinkins, Sr.; Willie E. Hopkins; Derrick R.
Jenkins; Garland E. Salem; Samuel T. King; Anthony J. Williams; Christopher
Chachare; John L. Stewart, Jr.; Jeffrey Reeves; and Keith Hughes;
and
WHEREAS,
Christopher E. Johnson is a nominee for the Kappa League National Guide Right
Director of the Year award and is the Director of the Chapter´s Guide Right
program; and
WHEREAS,
the Chapter´s Guide Right program has been nominated for the Jay Crosby
Award, which is awarded to the nation´s most outstanding Guide Right
program; and
WHEREAS,
Seth Anderson is a nominee for Kappa League Member of the Year; and
WHEREAS,
this relatively new Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., has recorded
many outstanding achievements in its short history.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
the founding and achievements of the Stockbridge-Jonesboro Alumni Chapter of
Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and its founding
members.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the Stockbridge-Jonesboro Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
