RESOLUTION
Honoring
and congratulating Mr. James Raymond Southerland and Mrs. Rachel Southerland on
the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
five decades ago, Mr. James Raymond Southerland married his lovely wife, Mrs.
Rachel Southerland; and
WHEREAS,
throughout 50 years of triumph, joy, disappointment, and quiet routine, their
love and devotion for each other has remained; and
WHEREAS,
their tenderness, respect, and joy for one another have provided invaluable
inspiration to others striving for harmony in their lives and their families;
and
WHEREAS,
on Sunday, June 26, 2005, this miraculous couple will celebrate their 50th year
of holy matrimony with friends and family at Lake Howard Baptist
Church.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body honor Mr.
James Raymond Southerland and Mrs. Rachel Southerland for their love and
dedication to each other, congratulate them upon the joyous occasion of their
wedding anniversary, and extend to them best wishes for continued health and
happiness.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. and Mrs. James Raymond
Southerland.
