A
RESOLUTION
Commending
the Dade County High School softball team; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
under the skillful guidance of Head Coach Jill Higdon, Assistant Coach Jeremy
Hidgon, and Athletic Director Gene Durden, the Dade County High School softball
team captured the Class AA State Softball Championship; and
WHEREAS,
this victory attests that the Lady Wolverines possess exceptional talent and
dedication to their team and their sport; and
WHEREAS,
senior Ashley Cuttichia was named Class AA Player of the Year, and senior Laura
Moore was chosen as Class AA Pitcher of the Year; and
WHEREAS,
seniors Rachel Reed and Cara Stephens were both named All State;
and
WHEREAS,
these achievements were the culmination of a season of hard work, exemplary
sportsmanship, and exceptional teamwork among this close-knit group, including
Ashley Boyd, Megan Bradford, Kim Cuticchia, Carrie Morris, Heidi Atchley,
Jessica Bradford, Christine Core, Danielle Houts, and Mary Kate Riley;
and
WHEREAS,
the Dade County community and the State of Georgia take great pride in the
accomplishments of these fine young champions.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body join in
commending the Class AA State Champion Dade County High School softball team and
extend their sincere best wishes to each of these outstanding young
ladies.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit appropriate copies of this resolution to Head Coach Jill Higdon and
the members of the Dade County High School softball team.
