RESOLUTION
Honoring
Reverend Larry Harris and Mrs. Janice Harris on the occasion of their 50th
wedding anniversary; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
50 years ago on December 25, 1955, Larry and Janice Harris were united in holy
matrimony; and
WHEREAS,
they have been pillars of the community and he is pastor and shepherd of Old
Bethel Baptist Church; and
WHEREAS,
throughout 50 years of triumph, joy, and challenges, their love and devotion for
each other have remained strong, serving as beacons of light for their three
children, eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren; and
WHEREAS,
in 2005, this inspirational couple celebrated their Golden
Anniversary.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
and congratulate Reverend Larry Harris and Mrs. Janice Harris on their
celebration of 50 wonderful years of marriage and extend sincere wishes for many
more happy years together.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Reverend Larry Harris and
Mrs. Janice Harris.
