RESOLUTION
Commending
Chris Yearwood for winning the National Small Animal Production and Care -
Entrepreneurship Proficiency Award at the 77th National FFA Convention; and for
other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Chris Yearwood of Stephens County High School´s Future Farmers of America
brought considerable fame and honor to the State of Georgia and to the school,
student body, and community by winning the National Small Animal Production and
Care -Entrepreneurship Proficiency Award at the 2003-2004 National FFA
Convention recently held in Louisville, Kentucky; and
WHEREAS,
Chris has developed an impressive Supervised Agricultural Experience by
breeding, showing, and training competitive feist squirrel dogs, focusing on top
genetics in his breeding program and intense training in his animals;
and
WHEREAS,
his quality control has enabled him to rank consistently among the top ten
competitors, and he has developed a reputation among Southeastern hunters for
having top quality hunting dogs; and
WHEREAS,
Chris, a graduate of Stephens County High School FFA Chapter in Toccoa and
currently a student at Gainesville College majoring in agricultural education,
is the son of Kenneth and Angie Yearwood of Toccoa.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize
and congratulate Chris Yearwood for winning the National Small Animal Production
and Care - Entrepreneurship Proficiency Award at the 77th National FFA
Convention.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Chris Yearwood.
