A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending Emily Byers, Winner of the National Future Farmers of America Proficiency Award for Agricultural Communications; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, at the 77th National FFA Convention in Louisville, Kentucky, Miss Emily Byers competed in the FFA Proficiency Awards competition; and

WHEREAS, Miss Byers brought great honor and credit to her school and the State of Georgia, receiving the national award for Agricultural Communications; and

WHEREAS, Miss Byers is the Vice President of the Jackson County Comprehensive High School chapter of Future Farmers of America and serves as the official chapter webmaster; and

WHEREAS, thanks to her hard work, dedication, and technical proficiency, the chapter website educates visitors about FFA and serves as a valuable resource for chapter members; and

WHEREAS, her achievements truly demonstrate the FFA motto, "Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live, Living to Serve," and set a fine example for all those students who will participate in this outstanding FFA chapter in the years to come.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body join in recognizing and commending Emily Byers, Winner of the National FFA Proficiency Award for Agricultural Communications and look forward to the promising future of this outstanding young lady.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Miss Emily Byers.
