RESOLUTION
Commending
Jan Goodloe; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Jan Goodloe is widely recognized throughout the state as the personification of
excellence in education; and
WHEREAS,
this highly respected professional educator and administrator has served with
honor and distinction as teacher since 1976 and has served as such in the City
of Decatur school system the past 23 years, and currently serves as principal of
Clairemont Elementary School; and
WHEREAS,
she believes that her continuing role as a teacher and principal is to act as an
instrument of inspiration and enthusiasm to her pupils and to create a positive
learning environment through the encouragement of competitive instincts in
students; and
WHEREAS,
she is a shining example of the important impact that the efforts of individual
education professionals are making on the quality of education received by the
children of this state and it is abundantly fitting and proper that her
superlative accomplishments be recognized appropriately.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body heartily
and gratefully commend Jan Goodloe for her over three decades of sacrifice,
foresight, accomplishment, and contributions on behalf of education in Georgia
and for the positive influence she has had upon the lives and futures of
countless young people in this state and extend to her their most sincere best
wishes for health and happiness in the future.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Jan Goodloe.
