A
RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Baylee Carter; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
the American Heritage Academy is a private school located in Canton, Georgia;
and
WHEREAS,
part of their mission is to develop mature, independent, and confident students
who achieve at their optimal level and become successful, contributing members
of society, and with this in mind, each year they sponsor a writers´
showcase; and
WHEREAS,
students from kindergarten through 12th grade participate in this program;
and
WHEREAS,
students selected as winners have demonstrated exceptional abilities in
composition and creativity; and
WHEREAS,
Baylee Carter participated in the competition at the sixth-grade level, and her
display of writing skills and mental prowess victoriously won the competition
for her level; and
WHEREAS,
these young scholars have earned the respect of their peers and have brought
honor to their families, school, and community.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body congratulate Baylee Carter on winning the writers´ showcase
competition at the sixth-grade level.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Baylee
Carter.
