A RESOLUTION


Remembering and honoring the life of Mrs. Ester Reed; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Mrs. Ester Reed was born in Walton County, the beloved daughter of Willie C. Chancey and Julia Houston Chancey, residing in Georgia until her passing on December 18, 2006, at the age of 93; and

WHEREAS, Ester Reed was a dedicated and vigilant homemaker, and she took great pride in caring for her family; and

WHEREAS, she was a faithful and devoted member of the Flat Creek Baptist Church in Gainesville, Georgia; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Ester Reed was a devoted wife to her husband, the late Ulysses Reed, and a loving mother to her two daughters, Ola Rich and Ruth Taylor, and her son, Billy Reed; she is also survived by her six grandchildren, Neal Rich, Andrea Wheeler, John Rich, Ben Taylor, Kelly Reed, and David Reed, and her three great-grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, she had a love for life and brought joy and happiness to all those who came into contact with her through her sweet and loving spirit; and

WHEREAS, she was a remarkable lady filled with much strength of character and grace, and she will long be remembered in the hearts of those who loved her dearly.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body remember and honor the life of Mrs. Ester Reed and express their deepest regrets on her passing with sincerest condolences to her family.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the family of Mrs. Ester Reed.
